Reverend Chisholm is triple ordained in Holistic Healing Ministries; Interpersonal Counseling and Transpersonal Counseling for ministries throughout the United States. She acknowledges and honors the sacred in all religious faiths, and spiritual practices that have the common denominator of Love.

The content of your wedding will be specially yours, for she is dedicated to giving couples what they want instead of the "out of a book and off the shelf", or a "me too" kind of ceremony. Special rites available include wonderful heart centered blessings richly encompassing children (his, hers and/or  yours), family, pets and friends.

Reverend Chisholm is renowned for her Nature-Based, Interactive-Invitation for to the guests, Celtic-Renaissance ?Tying the Knot?, Mountain Man "Gettin' Hitched', Sacred Candle & Heart-flame vows, Wine & Rose ceremonies, honoring deceased loved ones and many other ancient spiritual rites that bring tears to the eyes and joy to the heart.

THOUGHTS ON CEREMONY THEMES WHICH CAN BE COMBINED WITH HOLIDAYS OR SPECIAL DAYS IN YOUR LIFE.  i.e. one Groom told me he chose his birthday so he'd never forget their anniversary, another chose New Year's Eve for the same reason!

"The Highlander"

Basic Outdoor Ceremony; the simple yet intimate & romantic Wedding. Add a Bag Piper, local Handmade Wildflower bouquet, Bubble bottles or rice instead of rice or confetti.  Requests guests to dress in Irish or Scottish attire.

"Idaho Horseback"

Horses for the bride, groom and minister, plus horses for bridesmaids, groomsmen or add a "hay wagon" for them or guests. The ceremony can actually be done on horseback or you can dismount at the outdoor chapel site and have the horses held to the side with lariat rope for 'Gettin' Hitched'. Suggested that all guests dress Western. You could add the Hay-wagon BBQ catering for reception, Fiddlers &/or Guitarists also available.

"Eagles' Flight"

Fly-In or Jet-Boat to Back Country Lodge, White Water Raft Trip, Fly Fish, Wilderness Back Pack, Pack horseback Trip to ceremony destination.

Is this your Salmon River
wedding party?
"Dream Catcher" or "Rendezvous Wedding"

Bon Fire Circle Ceremony. Primitive Medicine Wheel. Huckleberry Meade Wine for the Wedding Toast. Dressing in Period-Time suggested for all guests. Black Powder Rifle Salute with a catered BBQ to follow.

"Sacred Mountain Romance"

With 44 Candles in Brass Candelabra stands. White Lattice Flowered Archway w/twinkle lights. Kneeling Benches for Blessing. Two live snow white doves witnessing your vows from an ornate flowered cage, Crystals or Blessing Stones to make ripples of love at a water site.

"Celtic-Renaissance Wildwood Wedding"

Escorted by a Bagpiper, have your Vows given in Gaelic. Honoring for our Planet Gaia symbolic of Earth, Air, Fire & Water (crystal-feathers-candle-shell). Suggested that all guests dress in Period-Time.  Music at the reception could be with old time fiddle.

"Mountain Mermaid"
Ceremony beside Goldfork or Burgdorf Hot springs (or IN it with your minister) and a Reception Party of swimming and relaxing on the beach built for lounging.

"Snowman Wedding"
Snowshoe or CX Ski to the Blue Moon Yurt at Ponderosa Park with your wedding party, have a 5 course meal with hot mulled wine and spend the night in the adjoining yurt and have a snowman making contest if you dare!

Dearly Beloved . . . September Romance in a Secret Garden

The Bride was greeted by fox, gently carrying an egg for breakfast,
a choir sang from the tree tops, and the Ravens dressed their best.
The couple's guests were White Tail Deer, grazing quietly nearby,
The Best Man was a squirrel, Maid of honor? 'Painted Lady' butterfly.

The fountain played a prelude, in a charming old rock pool,
a hummingbird sipped champagne nectar, in the shade where it was cool.
The whole affair was directed by Mother Nature in her wisdom,
assisted by her Minister, the Reverend Eloris Chisholm.

  • OUR HANDS

A good marriage is a lifetime of hands.
It's a trembling hand sliding a shiny gold band on to the finger of another trembling hand.
It's an anxious hand tugging on a suddenly shy hand.
It's hands touching in sudden tenderness, or swinging together down a crowded street, or fingers interlocking in the darkness of a theater,
It's clapping hands joyously admiring achievement of other hands,
It's expressive hands honoring the beauty of creative hands,
It's the playful pat on the fanny, the beckoning wave, the rumpled of hair,
It's the "Help me please" gesture.... and sometimes but not often, the clenched hand.
It's two ecstatic hands being grasped by tiny brand new hands.
It's hurrying hands setting dinner for hungry hands.
It's angry hands pushing away angrier hands.
It's an optimistic hand patting a discouraged hand.
It's a panicky hand clutching a calm hand.
It's a proud hand introducing an embarrassed hand.
It's joyous hands grabbing happy hands -- and hands sharing sadness with a touch.
It's healthy hands holding sick hands.
It's hands joining in prayer. And finally,
It's a shaking hand sliding a dull gold band off the finger of a very still hand.
