Eloris Chisholm, an ordained wedding minister, is preferred by many resort lodges.
She specializes in "Forest-Setting" ceremonies --  aka "Green Weddings" -- and other unique and beautiful ceremonies.  She has performed ceremonies
for numerous brides and grooms for over 30 years.

Eloris is available for prenuptial counseling, to help with tough questions such as how to deal with ex?s, step-parents, stepchildren, your children, parents' significant others, etc.
She personalizes your ceremony for your own unique desires (e.g., helping you to include your favorite pet-friend to be included in the ceremony). Eloris emphasizes the sacred and equal partnering of deep friends . . . "to not only marry the right partner but to be the right partner, This is the blessing of a lifetime."

Booking Your Ceremony

Booking your minister as soon as possible is very important, as dates and times are limited and fill rapidly. You can be "penciled in" to hold Rev. Chisholm for your special day and time with just a phone call (208.634.6875), or e-mail.   When your deposit (via check or Paypal)arrives you will be "inked in" with assurance of your date.

About Your Minister
Reverend Chisholm is triple ordained in Holistic Healing Ministries; Interpersonal Counseling and Transpersonal Counseling for ministries throughout the United States. She acknowledges and honors the sacred in all religious faiths, and spiritual practices that have the common denominator of Love.  The content of your wedding will be especially yours, for she is dedicated to giving couples what they want instead of the "off the shelf", or "me too" kind of ceremonies.

Special Rites and Traditions
Special traditions are available to include in your ceremony which include wonderful heart centered blessings encompassing children, family, pets and friends. Reverend Chisholm is renowned for her Nature-Based, Interactive-Invitation for to the guests, Celtic-Renaissance ?Tying the Knot?, Nuptial Candle & Heart-flame vows, Wine & Rose ceremonies, and many other ancient spiritual rites that bring tears to the eyes and joy to the heart.

Consultation
Your Minister meets with the bride and groom preferably 30 days prior to the wedding to organize the particular details and type of theme for the ceremony.  If you so desire, prenuptial counseling is available which teaches you techniques for effective communication, conflict resolution, and keeping romance alive; touching on the relevant issues necessary for living a rewarding and fulfilling married life and the 5 Love Languages.

Ministers Services
Include:  Wedding consultation, creation of the vows and ceremony, prenuptial counseling sessions, rehearsal and wedding ceremony, plus presentation of copy of the ceremony and old fashioned Marriage Certificate after the nuptials.

Extras
Consider having a DJ, a bagpiper, violin/fiddler, band, vocalist, carriage, buggy, sleigh or snowmobile.  She will happily recommend caterers, photographer, florist, beauty salons, baker, rental equipment, trip and/or location permits.

Rehearsal
Arrangements should be made at the consultation for a rehearsal date and time if you wish one.  Rehearsals are generally held 24-72 hours prior to the actual ceremony.   All participants including the parents of the bride and groom should be present at the rehearsal.

Legalities

Marriage license

You need to obtain your marriage license in the state that you will be married in.  Idaho's licenses are good in any county or city and we have no expiration date for it's validity.  In Valley County, Idaho, the County Clerk's phone number in Cascade is (208) 382-4297. The ease of obtaining the required license enables couples to arrive in town on short notice and obtain the license immediately during business hours.
.

There is no waiting period, witnesses or blood test required in Idaho. Your License must be given to the minister prior to the wedding and at the rehearsal is the best time. It is the legal responsibility of the minister to return the completed signed copy of the license to the county recorder after the wedding ceremony.

Ages 17 to 18 require a parent to sign an affidavit for them; under 17 requires the local judge or magistrate to approve of the marriage.

Civil ceremony

Typically done as a legal formality only i.e. when the couple is planning a wedding ceremony out of state or country or does not wish a ceremony.
